NAIDOC Week 2024 Oration by Uncle Charles Pakana

This year Moonee Valley's NAIDOC Week events will commence with a NAIDOC-themed oration delivered by Uncle Charles Pakana at the Incinerator Gallery.

Uncle Charles is an Aboriginal man of Tasmanian descent. He is the founder of Victorian Aboriginal News, the second of three successive generations of Aboriginal journalists, and chairman of the Barrbunin Beek Aboriginal Gathering Place in Heidelberg West.
